MARIANA
CAMACHO ORDÓÑEZ
Founder
Mariana holds a law degree from Pontificia Universidad Javeriana (Colombia) and a one-year Specialization in Competition Law from the same university. In addition, she holds a Master of Laws (LL.M.) degree in Law and Technology from the University of California, Berkeley. Mariana is also certified as an Information Privacy Professional in Europe (CIPP/E).
Mariana has extensive experience advising national and international clients on matters relating to competition law, personal data protection, information security, consumer protection, among other regulatory issues. She also has vast experience in administrative and jurisdictional litigation, especially before the Superintendence of Industry and Commerce in Colombia. Additionally, Mariana has experience in designing corporate compliance programs and training companies in different sectors.
During her professional career, Mariana has worked in law firms such as Ibarra Abogados (Ibarra Rimon Law) and Baker McKenzie. Additionally, prior to founding La Firma, she worked as Competition Manager at the Computer & Communications Industry Association (CCIA) in Washington DC, representing some of the world’s leading technology companies in global competition and policy issues.
